“The Age of Pioneers” movie starring Evgeniy Mironov and Konstantin Khabenskiy directed by Dmitry Kiselyov had been released on April, 6th, 2017. “Bazelevs» studio of Timur Bekmambetov and “The Third Rome” studio produced the “cosmic disaster movie” about the first spacewalk in an outer space in the history of mankind.
The movie script is based upon the real story of “Voskhod 2” — a Soviet manned space mission in March 1965. The Vostok-based Voskhod 3KD spacecraft with two crew members on board, Pavel Belyayev (starring Konstantin Khabenskiy) and Alexey Leonov (starring Evgeniy Mironov), was equipped with an inflatable airlock. It established another milestone in space exploration when Alexey Leonov became the first person to leave the spacecraft in a specialized spacesuit to conduct a 12 minute «spacewalk».
«The Age of Pioneers» was called by Roskino one of the most successful Russian movies of the year 2017 sold and released worldwide.
On October, 14th, «The Age of Pioneers» was premiered on air of Channel One.
