«The Irony of Fate 2»  is a  Russian romantic comedy  directed by Timur Bekmambetov based on a screenplay by Alexey Slapovskiy produced by Channel One and released by Mosfilm. It is a direct sequel of the first  «The Irony of Fate» — the «cinema anthem» of New Year Eve in Russia having celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2005. Konstantin Khabenskiy is starring as Kostya  Lukashin (the son of Evgeniy Lukashin — the main character of the original  «The Irony of Fate»).
