The Home for the Rich (2000)

«The Home for the Rich» is a movie directed by Vladimir Fokin upon the screenplay by Anatoly Grebnev (Nika Award for the best screenplay). The apartment at on old Moscow private house is the place and the main character of the movie. In the middle of the XIXth century a descendant of a noble family going into bankruptcy Burkovsky sells his «housy of the family» and from that moment starts the new history of the aparment. Each character of the movie lives in this apartment his own life: revolution participants, terrorists, bolshevik comissaries all through the Soviet time till the full reconstruction by a «new Russian» Roumyanov getting the apartment into an old-style look.
